The European Journal of Companion Animal Practice is publishing a special online issue* entirely devoted to feline medicine, and more specifically to geriatrics. The journal takes a practical approach to the main conditions affecting older cats : renal failure, lymphoma, chronic inflammatory bowel disease, and diabetes mellitus, among others. Behavioral disorders are also covered, notably through articles on environmental enrichment as part of the treatment of cats with osteoarthritis and on the management of vocalizations. Vieux chat All articles and documents included in this English-language publication by the Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Associations (FECAVA) are presented in an interactive format, featuring videos, quizzes, downloadable materials, and infographics. Users will also find tools such as new apps designed for veterinarians and veterinary students interested in feline cardiology (“Cat Heart Interactive” ), ophthalmology (“Feline Ophthalmology” ), and more. The online journal also features pages on European news, reviews of veterinary books, a “how to...” section, and video recordings of the two cat-focused lectures from the 2015 British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) Congress. Access to all articles and pages is open to all veterinary practitioners, veterinary students, and veterinary assistants in Europe and beyond, and the site is optimized for viewing on tablets. * Ejcap online, Special issue on the care of geriatric cats, 2015, vol. 25, no. 3. www.ejcap.org
